Welcome all new and returning Tennessee Tech students! We hope that your move on Great Move-In Day went as smoothly as possible and that you're ready to start the semester. Tennessee Tech is a fantastic place to pursue an education, and we hope that you'll make the best out of your time here. We at Drover Rideshare have a deep connection to TTU as many of our staff and drivers attended or currently still attend Tech. It brings us great joy to be able to operate in this community and have such a connection to this historic institution.
We'd like to tell you a little bit about Drover Rideshare, which is a new and exciting ridesharing service operating here in Cookeville. We launched just under two months ago, and we are growing fast. We have a laundry list of exciting features that make Drover Rideshare unique, such as No Surge Pricing, Commute Pairing, and lots of safety features to ensure that you feel just as safe in a Drover as you would in your own home. One of the biggest principles that Drover Rideshare was founded on was the concept of giving back to the community - it's in our DNA and in everything we do. At every step of the way up to the launch and after, we relied on local businesses and resources as much as possible. For example, any time we needed marketing materials such as flyers, we sought out local printing companies instead of going to a much larger national company. We believe that this approach helps Cookeville grow and prosper as a whole, and we are so happy to be a part of that growth.
On top of using local resources, we also believe strongly in giving to charity and philanthropy. In fact, 2% of every fare will go to a local, Tennessee-based charity of the driver's choice. If the driver wants it to go towards saving the animals, then that is where it will go! We hope to expand our ways to give back to the communities we operate in as we grow in the coming months and years. We want to wish all new and returning students the best of luck for the upcoming semester and hope that you'll enjoy your time here at Tech. It is an amazing school and certainly one where you will receive a top-notch education.
